471. Chicago! Love it. Doug had a company meeting on Friday/Saturday and I got to tag along! I love my girls - but am so thankful for once in a while weekends away! Good for the soul and battery.
472. Waking up on my own, drinking coffee by myself, taking my time with my workout at the gym, getting ready with the morning news and more coffee - Friday and Saturday were mornings from Heaven! Slow paced...I seriously need to figure out how to make these happen more often!
473. Exploring. I walked around Chicago from 11AM - 5PM on Friday - by myself, just exploring. And it was wonderful. So beautiful - and SO much fun just to walk and watch and take in all the sights at my own pace. Ahhhh!
474. Great friends, and catching up with them and eating great food with them! I thank God every day for the people He has put into our lives (and delicious food he gives us to eat:-)).
Friday I had breakfast with one of my dearest friends (my roommate freshman and sophomore year of college and year one post college) Kim...and her adorable little Matthew. Can't tell you how refreshing it was to see her face and catch up. We had so much fun together in school - grew a lot together and I am so thankful we still are able to keep in touch. She is the best!
Saturday morning met up with one of my best friends from high school and college - Jeff...his awesome wife Krysta and their adorable new bundle! They picked me up from the hotel in the AM and we went back up to their adorable place, drank coffee, walked to go get lunch in their adorable little part of town...loved catching up and talking about our kiddos! Now if I only I could convince them to move 4 hours East! They are great to say the very least.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday night were spent with the West Monroe crew. We had a blast as usual and ate a lot of great food (a little Cuban restaurant was my fave - if I only I could remember the name of the restaurant!).
