303. Breakfast!
304. Vineyards speckled with baaing, grazing sheep. Wineries rent sheep to cut (eat) the grass and fertilize;-) (biodynamic agriculture). Our first stop was Joseph Phelps winery - they had hundreds of sheep grazing and it was fun to go out onto their terrace and listen to the sheep baa:-) And the tasting room was gorgeous - they had hundreds of empty, dusty wine bottles lining the shelves in the room, gigantic striking barrels and framed letters from different president administrations - detailing Joseph Phelps wines paired with dinners held at the White House - sort of neat!
305. Palm trees standing proud smack dab in the middle of a valley. Next stop...Round Pond Estate. This was one of my favorites stops on the trip - we toured their olive grove, gardens, barrel room - and then sat out on their gorgeous patio for olive oil/red wine vinegar/wine tastings...and lunch - some of it straight from their garden. Relaxing to say the very least! They have my new favorite Sauvignon Blanc (2010 Estate) - light and airy and citrusy and perfect for a sunny lunch!
306. Gnarly century year old olive trees.
309. The color orange.
310. Red Ohio like barns in the middle of vineyards.
311. Vines.

307. Barrel rooms. This place was out of a magazine - could look down from the first floor into the barrel room.
308. Fresh lunch shared with friends on a fun, trendy patio - smack dab in the middle of the valley. We started with olive oil and red wine vinaigrette tastings. First time tasting vinaigrette...with sugar cubes! Puckered a bit but the sugar countered some of that. Then we had salami, prosciutto, chicken, fresh veggies, fresh mozzarella, parmesan, gouda, bread, Spanish/Italian olive oil and of course...wine! So good. Loved it. And the company was even better!309. The color orange.

312. Vacation with my hubby - not much better than this!
313. More courtyards and sun! Stopped off at Elizabeth Spencer tasting room. This day was gorgeous. Sun feels so good.
314. Bubbles racing to tops of glasses. Next stop - Mumm. So refreshing. I also got a box of chocolate salt caramels here. Mmmmmmm.....
315. And one last stop before dinner at Del Dotto where I had some homey pasta and meatballs that hit the spot!
