One For the Record Books
Today was a great day. I was so proud of my girls...their poor mom lugged them around to Hobby Lobby, Bed Bath & Beyond, stop for lunch, Costco and finally...the grocery store. And they were excellent and so much fun the whole way. They made me laugh...Ava and Kate with their side by side antics...and Olivia with her new found hobby...rapid head shaking! I got so many comments from people today..."Boy...you have your hands full" or "Wow! 3 girls" and my favorite from an older lady at Costco..."You're doing good mom! I had five that close together...and believe me when I say...enjoy it now because it goes by fast. Even on those days when you think you've had enough because you will have many of those days, find the moments in them to enjoy." So sweet:-) So enjoy we did!
Now onto one of my most favorite Ava moments! I put the little girls to bed early (7PM...we had a long day) and Ava helped me make rice krispy treat cupcakes for preschool the next day. Ava thought she was hot stuff because she got to stay up later than Kate:-) And she got to stir the frosting and count marshmallows...a job she took seriously.
As I was stirring the frosting blue, Ava all of a sudden fell (in slow motion) off the chair, somehow grabbing the blue food coloring of the counter on the way down, and when she looked up at me after the fall...she had blue smurf face/hands/legs, etc. The food coloring had gone everywhere...squirted her face, mouth, arms, legs! We both started laughing hysterically. I took her up to my bathroom to try and use different solutions to get it out (wasn't easy!)...we laughed even more as we looked at her blue face in the mirror. It felt so good to laugh with her. A mom/daughter moment that I'll keep in my heart forever. And as for the fall...poor girl...she must have gotten my klutzy gene!
