530. Reminders that we are His beloved stemming from my six year old's hums.

Tonight Ava was humming this song and kept saying that she loved it:

So...we looked up this video, watched it, talked about what the word beloved means and what it means to be His beloved.  That even when we are sad, hurt, scared, lonely, nervous or unsure - we are always His beloved.  When we make mistakes, wrong choices or things don't go how we planned or hoped - we are His beloved.  All the time.  No matter what.  We belong to Him.  And He loves us. This is our identity.

And what a comfort this is and what peace and joy it brings.

I pray with all my heart that my girls realize their true identity.  That they know that they and everyone else around them are beautiful in His eyes. I pray for confident, strong, joy filled loving girls who are able to share true joy with others.  That they understand that we along with everyone else, no matter what...are His beloved.

I needed this reminder today...really...I need it every day.  And I am so thankful for my little six year old messenger (who didn't even know she was a messenger) who brought this reminder to me and lit up my heart through her soft hums.

Remind Me Who I Am - Jason Gray
When I lose my way,
And I forget my name,
Remind me who I am.
In the mirror all I see,
Is who I don't wanna be,
Remind me who I am.
In the loneliest places,
When I can't remember what grace is.

Tell me once again who I am to You,
Who I am to You.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to You,
That I belong to You.
To You.

When my heart is like a stone,
And I'm running far from home,
Remind me who I am.
When I can't receive Your love,
Afraid I'll never be enough,
Remind me who I am.
If I'm Your beloved,
Can You help me believe it.

Tell me once again who I am to You,
Who I am to You, whoa.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to You.
That I belong to You.
To You.

I'm the one you love,
I'm the one you love,
That will be enough,
I'm the one you love.

Tell me once again who I am to You.
Who I am to You.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to You,
That I belong to You, oh.

Tell me once again who I am to You.
Who I am to You.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to You,
That I belong to You.
To You.
