Thankful

The last few days have been so crazy busy...it has been a blur!  Doug and I returned from a fantastic trip out west for a dear friend's wedding...and 5 hours after we returned I plunged back into real world responsibilities...craziness at work - preparing for a big presentation Wednesday amongst other deadlines, teaching vacation bible school (every night this week),  a house that needs cleaned desperately, 3 bumbling constant girls...it's been non stop. And it's not going to ease up until Friday this week...can we say ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

And so when I start to freak out about all there is to do...I stop and remember how thankful I am...

For my amazing husband who cleans the house while I'm running around shopping for VBS supplies like a crazed chicken...and who makes me laugh...especially when I get stressed...

For my 3 bumbling, constant, happy, healthy girls and the excited "Mommy" yell and wide armed hugs they give me when I get home from work...making me feel like the most special person in the whole world - they are the BEST...

For my job, even though it's crazy and stressful at times...I have one...for the most part I enjoy it and they have been kind enough to let me flex my schedule (and location) for the last 5 years...

For the smiles on kids faces when they're running around, singing and dancing like crazy to VBS songs after eating cupcakes loaded with frosting and marshmallows (don't forget the purple kool-aid)...those smiles and laughs are absolutely priceless...

For my home that goes from clean to messy in record time thanks to 30 little fingers and 30 little toes that are oh so good at leaving this house a whirlwind toy, snack, shoe, laundry fingerprints everywhere disaster...

For my family...Aunt Carly, Uncle Rob and Jet that take on my crazy 3 so Doug and I can get away for a weekend, my parents who feed us when I'm too busy to cook (for my dad who even ran a few errands for me today while I worked), and for Grammy who I'm going to drink wine and chat with and whose couch I'm going to relax on this coming weekend...

Thankful.

So during this crazy busy stressful week...I am choosing to focus on all the absolute goodness that comes with the chaos.  One day at a time...it will all get done...and if it doesn't...at least I can count on Grammy and her couch this weekend along with my guy and 3 girls...:-)
