Ducks in a Row Ava

This morning Ava disappeared to her room for a while - I thought to play with her dolls/kitchen in her room.  I went up to check on her and found her completely organizing her closet (let me preface this post by saying that none of the following was prompted by me - all Ava's initiative:-)).  She had all the bins out of one of her toy drawers and was organizing the doll accessories into different containers - all the bottles/spoons in one spot, doll "toys" in another and folded clothes into the third.  Her shoes were lined up on her shoe rack very neatly - all in a row. The strollers were tucked away into their assigned spot and she had even hung her princess dresses on hangers.  Needless to say...I was impressed.  I asked her what she was doing, and in a very matter of fact tone she said "cleaning my closet.  I have  a lot of cleaning to do."

About 15 minutes later I was downstairs doing some of my own cleaning and she opens up my front closet (which truly needed some spring cleaning - there were about 20 pairs of shoes piled up in there) and says "I'm going to work on this one next."  She marched over to the cabinets under the kitchen sink, grabbed 5 grocery bags and brought them back to the closet where she proceeded to sort the shoes from the closet, into different bags according to whose shoes they were.  She told me that she was going to leave one pair of shoes for every person in the closet then toted the remainder in her bags upstairs to each of our closets and put them away.

WHAT???  Is this going on for real?  My 4 year old putting me to shame as far as closet organization goes?  I don't know what got into her that morning but it just cracked me up.  She is such an "all the ducks have to be in a row" type of person - just like her dad.  Not only did I love watching her take pride in what she was doing (she was so proud), but I loved watching her process.  The wheels in her little mind were turning, she was organized and so step by step (also like her dad!).  I love watching their little personalities develop and traits start to shine through.  I also love my clean hallway closet - thanks to Ava!  I think I need to take some pointers from my 4 year old!!!
