The Fighter's

I know I'm biased, but words can't do my spunky 4 year old justice...not a day goes by that she doesn't make us laugh and smile.  She melts us with her words, her awesome hugs and snuggles...and cracks us up with her quick 4 year old wit and funny faces.  She is small...but mighty...and full of enough sweetness to fill up all the honey pots in this world!  We love our Kate and pray for another full year (and lifetime) of health, happiness, growth, smiles, laughter, love and spunk! How do we go from this... To this....so quickly??? Riding her new bike...her first birthday present of the day! Eating her favorite snack (chips and salsa) and making some of our favorite faces... Enjoying the day with her favorite peeps! Pizza and cake...does it get any better?? Ava ditched her training wheels and is taking on sidewalks on 2 wheels!  So proud of my little biker:-)  And to top it all off...she had her two biggest fans close behind, rooting her on:-)

Tonight we packed up the girls to head to one our favorite spots...IKEA!!!!!  On the way home the sun was setting...Ava goes "mom...isn't it beautiful!  When I look at the different colors and the stripes and the tree shadows...it makes me think how God made everything beautiful." I had to write this down...I love that she's starting to take in simple beauties. But I love even more that she attributes the beauty to God. I pray that she, Kate & Olivia will ALWAYS focus on the vast array of beauty God has painted for us here on earth! 

"A loving family, mine to treasure - better than wealth of any measure."  ...one of my absolute favorite quotes and it definitely rang true during our week at the beach.  I don't know if it can get any better than spending time with family, eating fantastic food, drinking fun drinks (thanks to Uncle Don!), watching some of our kids see the ocean for the first time, playing, laughing, swimming in the ocean and digging in the sand, relaxing, staying up until 4AM with the family...chatting, laughing (and sometimes giving lectures:-)), late night cheesy bread, sleeping in, just being with my hubby, the girls, mom, dad, brothers, sister in law (and sister in law to be!), aunts, uncles and awesome cousins.  To me...no other riches on earth can compare to just being with the people I love.  Thanking God for a great week at the beach!
