Nap Time

Image
Today...nap time turned into tea party time for Katelyn.  And she invited her sisters to play.  I walked into Kate's room after naps...to find she hadn't been napping, but instead was having a tea party with her stuffed animals.  She had them all set up around her bed, had names for all of them...and had stories to tell me about each of them.  Ava & Olivia joined the fun.  And eventually they ended up jumping into all of their tea party guests.  I'll have to teach them a thing or 2 about hosting...:-) This is how I found her...

Homemade Ice Cream & Edibles

This week has been one of the roughest at work to say the very least...lots going on and not enough time to do it in.  Today was extra stinky...but you know what made it all better...??? A trip to Charlie's Homemade Ice Cream & Edibles with my 3 favorite girls.  Ava, Kate & Olivia ate chicken nuggets and noodles while I pigged out on 3 way Cincinnati chili (perfect comfort food).  Oh...and we split some french fries too. ;-)  We chatted...they told me about elephants, asked me why and how it was raining outside, how roofs are built?, does everyone have a roof?, wanted to know how ice cream was made, got mad at me for stealing their ketchup (especially Kate - she does not like it if you touch her ketchup).  Olivia rubber necked at other customers while happily stuffing her face.  It was perfect.  Then we got ice cream...the girls had theirs with cherries on top.  On the way home, Olivia made blubbery noises with her mouth...

Uncle Bobby's Birthday!

Uncle Bobby turned the big 3-0 and we got to celebrate with him!  The girls absolutely adore him if you can't tell from the pictures!  Happy Birthday Uncle Bobby!

Math Club.

Doug was in the Math club in high school.  Yes.  He was part of a team that went and took tests for competition (and you should see the pictures - he was definitely wearing plaid shorts pulled up to his chest and a pocket protector).  I can tease him all I want but do love that he was in the Math club. I love my nerd.  Why am I bringing this up?  Because Ava counted to 100 today...ALL BY HERSELF!  I know she still has a long way to go before she is ready for national math competitions like her father... but I LOVE watching the girls learn and hit new milestones and am so proud of her!  I had to mark this one down in the record books.  She is so proud of herself...she counted to 100 repeatedly on our trip home from Columbus and she tried to teach Kate how to count to 100 (Kate would get to 20 or 30 and then exclaim excitedly with a big smile on her face...100!...love it:-)).  She does seem to love mathematical thi...

Trip to Grammy's

Image
We packed up and went down to Grammy's for a night!  The girls were SOOO excited and so happy to see Grammy!  Doug and I were too.  We had a great time!  Here are a few pics from the weekend.  The weather was so great we spent a lot of time outside...on the patio and at the park!

It's October!!

Image
Welcome October!  We love Fall and decided to kick off one of our favorite months with a trip to the farm!  The girls had a blast and so did we.  Pumpkins, cows, piglets, sheep, bunnies, kittens, beautiful farm setting and perfect Fall weather made for a fantastic Friday night outing:-)  We loved watching the girls run around with their big smiles...Olivia trying to keep up with Ava and Kate.  So much fun!  This is a night I would easily hit the repeat button on many times!  Happy Fall!
