The Fighter's

The girls are not lacking for any attention if you can't tell. Day 3 included breakfast, beach and crabs...cooked Maryland style thanks to Christina. This was my first crab experience. Fun...and messy:-) The girls are having a ball...

Day 2...beach, artwork with cousins Zoe and Kacy (Ava's Godmother or "grandmother" as Ava called her once today:-)), and more fun playtime on the deck with cousin Maggie. I snapped a few shots of Katelyn's curly hair...it has been extra crazy this week and I love it! Ava thinks the world of Kacy and Zoe, hanging on their every move. And why wouldn't she...everyone has been so good to the girls! Have I mentioned we love vacation? Doug and I also got to escape for a long walk on the beach...have I mentioned I love my husband? :-)

After surviving a 16 hour trip from Ohio we made it to the beach to relax with the fam for a whole week! Ahhhh...vacation! The girls did great on the trip...we left at 5am...Ava did not sleep the entire way (Kate...only 40 minutes total)...but thankfully they really were troopers. We kept them busy with lap tables, coloring, DVD's, more coloring books, Tag (for Ava) and music CD's. I was so proud of them!! We love the ocean...the girls are having a blast. They have been over the moon building drip castles, swimming in the waves and getting lots of extra attention from our super family. This was Kate's first time seeing the ocean which was sort of special. We also celebrated cousin Maggie's very 1st Birthday!!! Here are pics from day 1:
