Bring on second grade! So proud of our girl and praying for a fun, confidence building year of growth and smiles for her. I had some first day of school jitters last night - up for a few hours hoping that she wasn't nervous, that she would like her teacher, that she would find her friends at lunch and recess, that this year would go as smoothly as last...racing worrying mom mind. And then this morning as my rustled haired girl ran excitedly down the hall with squinty just awake eyes, a big smile on her face, and her first day of school outfit on - I realized (once again) how unnecessary that middle of night worry was. And how careful I have to be NOT to project my needless worry onto her. She is ready as any incoming second grader can be - armed with a big and good heart, warm smile and eagerness to learn. And on top of that she has a family that loves her all the time, no matter what. So this year is going to be great - I already know it. And I love this girl to the moon a
