The Fighter's

Carving the pumpkins... Anticipating Trick or Treat...the girls were SO excited. And laughed extra hard when Doug put his nerd glasses on:-) Grandma held the fort down while we trick or treated.... Back at home counting the loot.  The girls had a great time and stayed out the entire hour and a half!  Troopers:-)  I love my cheerleaders and little mascot chicken!

The girls and I dressed up in our Western gear and ventured over to our church's first Fall county fair.  We had an absolute blast.  The girls bobbed for apples, decorated pumpkins, ran around with friends, jumped in leaf piles, played in a bounce house, ate fall food and even square danced.  So much fun celebrating Fall and getting to know new friends!  Grandpa even came down to check out the fair!  Happy Fall...my most favorite time of the year!!

Our next door neighbors throw a big Halloween party every year.  This year...they decided to spice things up and throw a 1950's murder mystery!  Doug and I were given the parts of Peppermint Patty (captain of the cheerleading squad) and Albert the Nerd.  I was a little nervous (acting is not my strong suit), but it was a lot of fun and as you can see from the pictures...everyone went all out with costumes!  Our neighbors even had a 1950 Ford out front for pictures! You'll see the progression of the night below...complete with 50's food (although I brought a cheese ball in the shape of a pumpkin:-)), hula hoop contest, 50's greasers, spiked punch and finally the murder!  It ended up being the school nurse.  Phew!  Glad my date wasn't the culprit! 

Ava had her Halloween party today at school so Doug, Kate, Olivia, Jet and I went over to watch her parade and participate in the festivities. The kids were so cute and felt so special...costumes and treats...doesn't get much better than that at their age!  Ava loved passing treats out to her friends...she helped me put the bags together and just couldn't wait to hand them out.  Kate, Olivia and Jet were so well behaved.  A fun morning had by all!

Jet came over to play today...Olivia and him always have a blast together. Today Olivia discovered that she could push Jet on her pink and purple bus (sorry Rob!)...and they had a blast! Laughing/baby squeals all the way. This kept them entertained for a while!  They're really into this Little People zoo!  Looks like they're having a conversation:-)
