Olivia's First Rice Cereal

Olivia had her first rice cereal today. As you can see...not so sure about it. I especially love the last face:-)

Columbus Trip

Image
Doug and I took the girls down to Columbus this weekend to visit Grammy and friends! Saturday we drove straight in for a birthday celebration for Ava & Kate's friend Cami. The girls had a blast playing and it was so nice to catch up with Jill. I miss having my old neighbors as our neighbors. They are one of a kind! After that we drove to Grammy's to spend the night. Ava & Kate were so happy to see their grammy...and after a few hugs...ran down to the basement to find their boxes. She keeps little toy filled boxes for each of the girls in her basement, and always seems to have something new for the girls each time we go. The girls love to run and discover what's inside. Sunday we went to our old church Heritage with our friends the Dan, Krista & Lydia. Some of our best friends from Columbus (and Kate's Godparents)...we were joking with them that they waited until we left town to move a mile away from our old house, and start attending our church. The church i

Once Upon a Child

Image
I made a new discovery today! The store Once Upon a Child. I have always been skeptical but a friend told me how great the store is, so I went in to check it out for myself. And let me tell you...I am the store's new biggest fan. In need of dresses for the girls, I began probing through the racks and can't tell you how much fun it was! I found some adorable things, in excellent shape (half of the things I bought still had the tags on them), for an amazing price! We walked out of the store with 8 dresses and I only spent $48. I will never shop at another store for the girls until I've checked out Once Upon a Child first! The girls were ecstatic to have new dresses to wear (they are such girlie girls!)...and I was on cloud 9 having found such cute things for a steal! Here are a few shots of Ava & Kate in a couple of their new dresses. They wanted to try them on as soon as we got home:-)

Olivia - 4 Months

Image
I can't believe my baby is 4 months old already. Time is flying. She is such a fun girl. She is definitely a mama's girl but smiles at the sight of her daddy and big sisters. Olivia is by far the loudest baby of all 3...constantly babbling (perhaps trying to keep up with her big sisters) and I have never seen a baby spit up so much. Part of the reason our laundry is never ending! Milestones include rolling over (only twice...probably a factor of the way she was positioned), lots of babbles...mamamama, babababa and squeals, tons of smiles and giggling (my personal favorite). She is also bearing weight on her legs and holding her head up well (likes to catch all the action). Sleep wise...she goes down around 7:30, sleeps until 3AM, eats, goes back down until 6/7, eats...then goes back down until 8/9. Hopefully we'll start getting some even longer stretches here shortly, but honestly we can't complain! She has always been our cat napper, but has recently been taking 2.5

The Three Musketeers

Image
We had a fun day today...filled with dress up, dancing, reading books, playing with dolls and best of all...playing with sissies! Here are some shots of our 3 Musketeers. Or with the outfits they have on (and the way they order me around some days)...I should say 3 royal Highness's...

Ava, Kate & Olivia meet Jet!

The girls were so excited to meet their new baby cousin Jet today! Here are some shots of the girls meeting their new cousin. So sweet!

Kate & Lucy + Sleepy Olivia

Image
The girls and I have spent some time over at Rob & Carly's taking care of their dog Lucy while they've been in the hospital. Katelyn absolutely LOVES Lucy. She plays with her non-stop...and Lucy loves every bit of it. From the pics below you'd think they were best friends... And new cousins ware Olivia out...love this sleepy pic;-)

More Jet...

Isn't he precious!

Jet James

Image
I'm an aunt! Jet James was born to Rob & Carly (7lbs, 9 oz...only one more ounce than all 3 girls) and is as sweet & adorable as can be. I just love him to pieces! Rob & Carly are doing great and will be excellent parents! It's fun to watch them take on their new role. Can't wait for all the fun memories to come...him and Olivia are only 4 months apart. Future buddies:-)

My girls...

I should be going to bed now but had to write this day down for the memory books.... Today was a great day. Looking for something different to do, the girls and I went to the mall to return a few things, use a gift certificate, walk a bit, ride a merry go round and have a soft pretzel. I let Ava & Kate walk, pushing Olivia in the stroller. It was such a simple trip but so much fun. The girls listened and didn't fight ( hallelujah )...and while they were eating the soft pretzel...Ava said "it's a beautiful day." :-) Next we landed home. Had some lunch and then Ava & Kate headed upstairs to play their new favorite thing..."house". Santa brought them both princess tents for Christmas that we set up in their rooms. Last week I brought up all their dress up clothes, dolls that Grammy got them for Christmas and strollers. Since then they have had a blast pretending that they are on grown up adventures...to the store, basketball games, the library, gymnasti

Hanging out with Dad

I just liked these pics of the girls hanging out with their dad. Especially little Olivia...sitting up in the corner:-) She likes to hang too!

Winter Wonderland

Image
It has been so much fun living in our new house through all the different seasons. Just fun to watch the changes in our yard, and I love looking out the back windows at the different scenery each season has to bring. We got our first big snowstorm today. I ABSOLUTELY love snow...it makes everything so glisteny beautiful. I love to look at it, play in it, shovel it...even drive in it (adventure)! The girls have been enjoying it as well...running around the yard...making snow angels. Here are a few shots of our scenery for the memory books. I love it! And there's one of Ava getting ready to treck out to school in the snow...she added her glasses:-)
